For 17 years, Hope for Families Adoption Services has been a state licensed child placing adoption agency and is one of the largest home study providers in all of Florida. Since 2002, we have assisted over 2000 families with a wide variety of adoption services all the while maintaining an A Plus Rating through the Better Business Bureau.  All of our adoption home studies have received approval from the various courts and agencies involved! As both a Florida license adoption agency and licensed mental health provider, we have two levels of legal authority to facilitate completing professional reports for you.

The first step in adoption is for you to gain a State Mandated Home Study, which is an 8-10 page clinical report on you and your home that functionally provides a license for you to adopt.   We will provide both you and any agency or attorney you may use, copies of your adoption home studies so you can then use our home study for domestic adoptions or custody disputes.   We are honored to answer all of your questions about the home study process, as part of our service is to provide such adoption education. If you would like detailed information or to schedule a home study, please contact us at 772-429-3334 or call/text our Outreach Director; Lynn Brown on her cell at 772-538-4112.

We can provide you the crucial information you need about adoption, and then effectively lead you through the entire home study and/or post placement process.   Our turnaround time for the home study is 3-4 weeks, assuming that you provide the information and complete the background checks which is much faster than the average 3 month response time for other agencies. Generally, we can make an appointment within 7 days at your convenience and our agency is known for offering the quickest service.  We travel throughout Florida and our service is professional, compassionate, affordable, and FAST!

A simple and friendly, no-obligation, no-pressure call to gather helpful information and get answers to any questions you have is the best way to start. We make every effort to make the home study process an enjoyable experience rather than a stressful ordeal so that you can focus on the joy of adopting your child. You are welcome to call us at 772-429-3334.

Once you reserve a date for the home interview with us, we will then send you all the specific documents to quickly begin the home study process.  Our fee for the home study is $1,300 (which we believe to be the lowest in the entire state).  Depending on your location, there may be also minimal travel costs.  An expedited rush service or custody home study is also available at a slight additional charge, but we would discuss your specific situation with you to give you a quote.

We do have some conditions. To establish relational stability, Hope for Families will only approve couples who have been legally married by Florida’s standards for at least 3 years.  You must be full time legal residents of Florida and be younger than 65 years or older than 21 years. No more than three previous divorces are acceptable to our agency and as new adoptive parents, you must not have a major criminal record, although we will review every situation. Please just let us know if you have had any police contact and we will gladly advise you if we can assist you.  Applicants must not have a major life-threatening medical illness, or severe mental health diagnoses at the time of the application, or currently going through a bankruptcy before discharge. Your minimum household income must be approximately $30,000, and at least one of the adoptive parents must be a U.S. Citizen. We can also assist singles with a home study service but please call us first to discuss your adoption expectations and situation, as our experience is that, sadly it much more difficult to find matches for singles.

Unfortunately Hope for Families is no longer able to provide home study services for international adoptions due to recent changes in government regulations. Please give us a call to discuss how we can assist you with a home study evaluation/report for either an adoption or custody placement.  If you have provided your phone number, my darling wife Lynn, who is the founder of Hope for Families Adoption Services will attempt to contact you also.  It would be our honor to assist you with this needed clinical adoption home study report so that you can start an adoption in the US. Please call us so that we can give you more information about our clinical services and adoption programs, provide a free pre-qualifying interview on the phone to establish the probability of an approved report, and then schedule an appointment for your home study to initiate your adoption journey.

We love our adoption ministry and will serve you well! Your friends in adoption, Dr. Ken and Lynn BrownCo-Founders of Hope for Families
